The exhibition has been opened on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Armenia.
Featuring arts, culture, and the traditions of Iranians during the Qajar Era, the exhibition will be underway in the Armenian museum for almost one year.
On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the fifth volume of ‘Persian Documents of the Matenadaran Decrees’ was also unveiled.
The joint initiative is titled ‘Cultural Days of Iran in Matenadaran’ which is the Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan, Armenia's capital.
The opening ceremony was attended by Iran’s Ambassador to Yerevan Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri, Iran’s Cultural Attache in Armenia Seyyed Hossein Tabatabaee, and the head of the Armenian museum, Vahan Ter-Ghevondian.
According to Iranian artist Ivet Tajaryan, who is also the executive of the exhibition, it took over four years to select the best artworks for the exhibition.
